Kittens!!

Kenzie and I had a small kitty that was still a kitten come to our door more and more and looking skinnier and skinnier so eventually we decided to start feeding it on our patio. Before she was probably even 6 months old her belly started growin bigger and bigger but nothing else on her. I just thought because she was starving at one part she was just over eating but nope sure enough, she was pregnant!! Two days after feeling her belly to see if anything felt like babies, nothing, but a few days later there were squirmy little things all over inside! Just a few more days after that.... 3 kittens were born under my bed!! (Once she became pregnant we decided to let her stay with us until we found them all homes.) What we thought were 2 girls and 1 boy later (much later heh, woops) we found out there were actually 2 boys and 1 girl. Sadly the little girl baby that was white with some calico on her died a week old. Not all the nipples/tits (whatever they call them) had milk in them, only 2 and there were 3 kittens and the black boy hogged it all the time so the other two had to take turns. I tried to pull the boy away even take him away from mama for a while here and there. No luck mama got up and came after him everytime. Later I found out I could have gone down to petco and bought a lil bottle and kitten formula and bottle fed her. But it all happened so fast, they needed to eat every few hrs and the last two were born so tiny already.

They were so much fun! Kenzie got to know what it was like to take care of them and see them grow and play with kittens!! I know this much though, glad it's over and not gonna do it again!!!
