Update and Announcement!

I haven't gotten on here in quite some time! I decided ya know I probably should start blogging a bit more. Well here our latest update! After almost 2 years of marriage we moved out of the in-laws and into our own lil townhouse. We have an announcement ! We didn't say anything till I was just about in my second trimester due to health concerns/issues making me high risk for miscarriage and complications. I'm pregnant! 15 weeks tomorrow and 4 months next week tomorrow! 

I'm starting to show a bit! - or look a bit pudgy! Lol . So far all is well. I had a lot of back pain especially lower back cause of previous beck issues but thankfully it's lightened up. Hopefully it won't be to bad if at all in the end! My nausea and light headed ness had gotten better but still have it here and there. I haven't 'lost my cookies' once so far! Woohoo! Although I've come close a few times. 

My heart has lil palpitations a lot lately that kinda annoying thanks to having hypothyroidism. My heart should be okay besides that since having open heart surgery 5 years ago. (The thyroid controls heart rhythm and everything else).  My doctor will check my thyroid levels every month luckily so I should hopefully be ok. The only thing that worries me is the baby could have low IQ because of my hypothyroid. Hoping all goes well and baby is smart and healthy as ever! Hopefully the baby won't get to huge either, daddy Jake is 6'4 and comes from a tall family!! Lol

All in all we're all very excited! 

Kenzie's Singing (Recitals etc.)

Kenzie loves to sing and does it pretty well! I'm very proud of her! So I thought I'd share a few more of her singing at some of her recitals. Kenzie gets to sing at the Dicken's Festival this year and also got to record a song along with other students at a studio for a lil christmas album they're making! So exciting!

Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween! We had lots of fun this year, we went to the Boo at the Zoo where the kids got to trick or treat and see all the animals! Kenzie's older (half) brother Kjory came with us along with cousin Jordan.

There is a new bear and sea lion area, huge and super fun to see. The polar bear was amazing! I actually got one of the grizzlies to look up at me for a perfect shot. So cute (from the other side of the glass of course). 

Kenzie got to go trick or treat with her cousins (from Jake's family, whom we call insta-cousins since they became her cousins instantly when we got married) so I added a picture from halloween night as well!

Below are pics a week after school started, she chose to cut her hair. JC Penneys were giving free hair cuts for kids as the new school year started!

Kenzie started voice lessons about a year and half ago and this video I took of her singing at one of her recent recitals. She does so good even though she hardly practices lately. Lol What can ya do. Funny kids.

Starting anew!

Hi everyone! I have recently gotten married and have decided it's time to start back up with the blog again as well as edit the title and all. The link and url address to it will be changed slightly also since we are a new family and have added one more. I am no longer an Allen and am now a Sever! Jake and I married Aug. 9th and the three of us are excited to start our new lives together! We had planned to marry on July 12th this year at the Bountiful Temple but after difficulties of trying to get a sealing cancellation (temple divorce) from Jake's prior marriage the results of it happening this year became scarce. So we decided to get married civilly and not chance becoming unworthy of temple blessings, etc. through almost a year of waiting to try to cancel the sealing and marry in the temple again. August 9th, 2012 became our wedding day. It will be so amazing for when we finally are able to go to the temple together to be sealed for all eternity and when we do we will be able to take Kenzie in with us to be sealed, all of us together!  Tomorrow is our first month anniversary!  Hooray! I'm sure the year will go by quickly and we'll be able to be sealed for all of time and eternity sooner than we could imagine!

Road Trip to So. California and Tijuana, Mexico! July 2011

We had only planned to go for a weekend to drive to Tijuana, Mexico for orthodontist (better than most in U.S. plus cheaper, not to mention my friends car takes natural gas- much cheaper to drive) and for Lil get-away vacation that ended up being almost a week.

We went to a few museums as well as China Town in L.A. and hung with a friend (through my sister Ashley) that let us stay with him 2 nights. He took us to Newport Beach and to see the final Harry Potter Movie. Yay!
