Kenzie in Coach Pitch Soft Ball! 2009

Kenzie had fun in Soft Ball this summer even though sometimes we'd have to go straight from dance (missing tumbling at times) to get there for the games. In the two pictures below Kenzie quickly threw on her softball shirt/jersey over her dance leotard (wearing dance pants) and just changed her shoes from dance shoes to cleats. Lol! Kenzie was in T-ball the years before so this year she got to be in coach pitch and she did really well hitting the ball! The coaches/team even paid extra to have the girls names put on the back of their jerseys!

Up to bat!

Running to home base! Yay!

End of Kenzie's 2nd grade (2009) -Zoo field trip and school carnival

At the end of Kenzie's 2nd grade year the 2nd graders went on a field trip to the Hogle Zoo. Then to end the year with more memories the school had a carnival in back that was pretty fun. We went from Kenzie's softball practice straight to the carnival.

On the train with a friend.

Kenzie's Soccer 2008-2009

Kenzie has been in soccer for 2 years for AYSO and 1 year before that in La Roca Futbol (weber state soccer team coached). It was a good year especially for me in the 2nd half in Spring because I had more energy to watch and be a part of it all since in between in March I had my Open Heart Surgery. I walked around the park on the track or 'walk path' during Kenzie's practices like I was suppose to (walk everyday said heart surgeon). More energy is definitely a plus!! Kenzie's team was fun even though we had a lot of younger kids (2 grades in our level) we still had a lot of fun and that was all that mattered! Since we ended up over scheduled with sports (dance, tumbling, girl scouts, activity/achievements days at church, and then soccer and soft ball coach pitch) Kenzie and I both decided to not sign her up for soccer these next seasons.

This pic was of the team with the coach Joe at the last practice of both seasons.

Kenzie after her last game just after receiving her trophy!

Kenzie and the team recieved trophies after their last game of both seasons.

Kenzie on the side lines of her last game being silly.

Our friend Alyssa came to see Kenzie's last game with us!

Easter 2009

For Easter this year we went to The Aquatic Center since they were doing egg hunts in the pools! They split the kids up into age groups so it'd be a little more fair. Afterwards we got to swim there for a while. We did egg hunts with our friends at their house in East Layton after they joined us at our church. It turned out to be a pretty good Easter.

Kenzie's Baptism

Kenzie's baptism was held in December rather than the first Saturday in the next month so her grandma Linda could make it while she was still in town as well as Kenzie's little sister that was adopted and her family, they were in town still from the holidays too.

It was very special and Kenzie was so grown up about all of it. Kenzie's grandpa Tim spoke as well as Logan, Kenzie's lil sisters dad (adopted by). Kenzie was baptized by her Uncle Nathan.
It was great and I was/am so proud of her!

Christmas 2008

We made a gingerbread house at a church activity that was fun especially getting to eat afterwards. I had to get a picture before I let Kenzie start eating it though. She didn't like that idea. She wanted to eat it right when we brought it home. haha

Kenzie's Dance and Tumbling Holiday Recital 2008

Kenzie's was in dance and tumbling at Syracuse Dance Academy that went until Summer 2009. During the holidays they had a little recital there at the dance studio. Here are some pictures from the holiday recital!

Girl Scouts

Kenzie's 1st girl scout troop and leader was fun and I was even a parent helper or whatever you call it. It was held at her school on certain days after school. Since then though she has been in another troop and she's earned plenty of badges and such. She even went to girl scout horse camp in the summer of 2009. When I get the pictures I'll put them up as well.

Kenzie's 8th Birthday

For Kenzie's 8th birthday we celebrated at the Classic Fun Center where you can rollerskate or rollerblade or even ride your scooter if it has the right wheels, there is a pirates cove playground and laser tag as well as those big bounce houses all over. We invited a couple of Kenzie's friends and cousin's and had a blast! Kenzie's grandma Peggy and her friend Ray also came.
